- Open the small gauze pad with isopropyl alcohol included in your kit
- Wipe the oral mirror thoroughly, ensuring all surfaces are adequately covered.
- Allow the alcohol to remain in contact with the mirror for at least 5 minutes to ensure effective disinfection.
- Let the mirror air dry and place back in original pack provided
B. Disinfecting with Hydrogen Peroxide
- A 3% hydrogen peroxide solution is commonly available and can be used for disinfecting purposes.
- To use, soak the oral mirror in the solution for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.
